Hart of Dixie 2×05: A sleepwalking firefighter and a jealous James Bond

Hart of Dixie 2×05: Walkin’ After Midnight

Seems like the roles are reversed this week: Wade gets jealous (and that’s a good thing)!

1. What just happened?!
After spending another night at Wade’s place Zoe discovers that someone else has been sleeping in her bed. Her stalker even left a toothbrush! After installing a camera with Wade’s help and going to bed with a can of pepper spray (I assume) Zoe finds out that George is her sleepwalker stalker. In the meantime Lavon tries to secure more votes by fake dating Annabeth (apperently an Auburn football legacy) at BlueBell’s Halloween party. Seeing Annabeth actually liking Lavon reminds Lemon of her own feelings for Lavon not that long ago (or let’s say the present). Lavon saying that he doesn’t know what he would do without her, after revealing the scam, isn’t helping either. Doctor Hart tries to find out the cause of George’s sleepwalking, but loses him after falling asleep herself. She finds him at the Halloween party, where Wade tries really hard to stay monogamous. Sleepwalker George then tells one of the girls his dating that Zoe is his girlfriend. Shocker! Wade lets Zoe bring her patient home, but then realizes he is really not happy with the fact that they are alone together. He rushes to George’s houseboat and pushes George (still sleepwalking) in the water right before he kisses Zoe. Auch! Zoe has got some explaining to do. After a good talk with George (still declining him, because he isn’t rebounding in a real way) she apologizes to Wade. Luckily he forgives her and they kind of seem happier than ever in that last scene (or as a Zoe and Wade fan I would really just like to see that).

2. What was the most memorable quote or dialog this episode?
Best quote this week was Zoe responding on Wade’s James Bond Halloween outfit: “Oh, well, it’s sexy, but I was kind of hoping for more of a Magic Mike construction worker or a sexy firefighter, but, you know, hey, James Bond… definitely alluring.” Also nice Magic Mike shout-out – every girl/woman saw (uhm drooled during) that movie. Wade’s realisation: “I’m going to enforce those rules.” Two words: go Wade! Plus I liked Wanda’s reaction on Wade taking another break: “Again? Do you even work here anymore?”

3. Cuteness vs. Useless
+ The sleepwalking storyline was funny. It was time that Zoe and George crossed paths again – and not just for some chit-chat.
+ How cute was Wanda! I really liked her costume. With the glitter make-up she made the omelet a bit glamorous.
+ Although I really like Zoe and Wade together, I must admit there was some serious tension between George and Zoe when George started dressing down when he went to bed.
+ Wade endorsing the rules that Zoe asked for. Go Wade! It’s nice to see him finally commit to Zoe. I think his James Bond outfit was also a sign that he is maturing (because everyone will expect him to choose something where he can show off his abs).
+/- Lemon realizing that she still has feelings for Lavon scares me a bit. Will she go back to her old ways to beat Annabeth from getting Lavon? Or will she tries to win his heart over without scheming. I just hope the latter.
– Lavon got a bit out of character with the fake dating. It definitely shows that he is kind of desperate to win this election. Who would have believed last season that Lemon would get him back on the right path again?!
– Zoe saying to George that it wasn’t serious between her and Wade. Auch, that hurts! Seeing Wade behavior this week I really hope that Zoe and Wade take another step forward in their arrangement/relationship like telling other people in BlueBell. It’s a miracle Dash hasn’t found out yet.

4. Rate it! (on a scale from 0 to 10)
It wasn’t a showstopper, but I like where the show is going. So an 7,5/8. Also next episode: election time, yay!

What do you think of this week’s episode? And did you like the Halloween costumes?
